What YOU’RE Responsible for:
Respond to Incidents:
- Provide response to fire-related incidents, motor vehicle collisions, rescues, hazardous material incidents, and medical first response calls, in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Take part in post-incident debriefings and ensure all equipment is inspected, serviced, and ready for future use.
- Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of firefighting equipment and apparatus.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the fire station and surrounding grounds to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support the development of Volunteer Firefighters by preparing and delivering instructional sessions.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge base of Beaumont’s streets, infrastructure, water supply, and potential hazards.
- Comply with all applicable legislative requirements, safety procedures, and respectful workplace policies.
- Promptly report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents.
- Actively participate in safety meetings and foster a culture of positivity and professionalism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (You must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent/Landed Immigrant)
- IFSAC and/or Pro Board Accredited NFPA 1001 Firefighter Levels I-II
- IFSAC and/or Pro Board Accredited NFPA 1002 Driver & Pumper Operator
- IFSAC and/or Pro Board Accredited NFPA 1072/470 Awareness & Operations
- A Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with Q endorsement and a clean driving abstract
- Standard First Aid with CPR/AED or higher level
- At least 3 years of continuous and active fire service experience
- IFSAC and/or Pro Board Accredited NFPA 1002 Aerial Operations
- BlueCard Incident Command
- ICS 100
- Basic Emergency Management (BEM)
- Current member of Beaumont Volunteer Fire Services
- An hourly rate of $35.60.
- 40-hour work week (some evening and weekend work may be required)

- Conditional Job Offer - Candidates that have successfully completed a recognized Firefighter Fitness Test within the last 6 months will not be required to complete testing again.
- Final candidates for this position will be required to undergo pre-employment screening, including reference checks, education verification, and a criminal record check.
- This position requires you live within the City of Beaumont corporate limits.
