The Beaumont Sport & Recreation Centre (BSRC) is looking for Childmind Attendants to join our team! Do you have a passion for working with children? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this position could be a great fit for you! We’re seeking service-focused Childmind Attendants to work on a casual basis at the BSRC.
The Center is offering a childminding program to enhance the customer experience for the families that utilize the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre. Childminding is short-term care for infants and children aged 6 months – 7 years while their parent(s), guardian(s), or caregiver(s) use the facility. We’re looking for Childmind Attendants who are passionate about creating a fun, safe and comfortable environment for infants and children, and can work up to 15 hours per week.

What YOU’RE Responsible for:
- Engage children in activities and games
- Ensure parents and children have the best possible experience every time they visit
- Communicate with parents regarding any concerns or challenges
- Guarantee a fun, safe, engaging environment for children
- Participate in the City’s Health & Safety program
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in babysitting and/or childcare
- Excellent communication skills
- First Aid/CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)
- Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Record Checks
- An hourly rate of $17.68.
- Membership to the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre
