Do you want to be part of Beaumont’s most-exciting place to work in the City? The Beaumont Sport & Recreation Centre (BSRC) is looking for Casual Skate Monitors to join our growing team! This facility features an NHL-sized ice rink, with seating for spectators, fieldhouse that can accommodate indoor soccer, lacrosse, and host events; a gymnasium that can accommodate multi-court play; climbing-wall; running/walking track; concession, multi-purpose rooms; and of course, an aquatic centre.

What YOU’RE Responsible for:
- Supervise public skating and shinny hockey as scheduled
- Assist, direct and provide information to the public regarding arena programs
- Track program attendance and ensure shinny participants have paid their fees
- Advise participants of safety requirements
- Follow and enforce rules to ensure the safety of patrons and staff
- Ensure adherence to Legislative regulations, Safety Directives and procedures and all respectful workplace standards
- Report unsafe conditions and near miss incidents promptly
- Attend regular safety meetings and promote a positive attitude
- Other duties as assigned
What YOU Bring:
- Experience working with the general public, including children
- Skating ability and possession of skates and helmet
- Possession of valid Intermediate First Aid and CPR Certification is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently under minimal or no supervision
- Ability to work in various arena locations
- Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the City of Beaumont

- An hourly rate of $17.68
- Up to 12 hours per week
